Google Nexus S gets official Android ICS update

If you decided to buy Google Nexus phone earlier this year than you are a lucky one. According to the official Nexus Twitter account, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update started rolling out today and will continue for the rest of the month to your device.
The update will be made available over-the-air, so you can manually check on your phone or wait for the notification to appear. This version is actually the 4.0.3 that was just announced by Google and even the Galaxy Nexus is not running it at the moment. Update is only available to the GSM/UMTS version of the Nexus S for the moment and not the CDMA version used by Sprint customers in the US.

I don’t know if you are a TouchWiz fan or not. If you don’t know what TouchWiz it then you probably wont care. TouchWiz is Samsung’s skin for Android devices. It offers some cool features and has its own share of fans and hater. Irrespective of that Samsung is determined to put TouchWiz on top of Ice Cream Sandwich on its Android 4.0 phones.
Samsung Firmware has published a video of Ice Cream Sandwich running on Samsung Galaxy S II phone. Which means you won’t see the cool UI that Google showed when they introduced ICS, the same ‘revolutionary’ UI that you saw on Galaxy Nexus phone....

In the Hungarian capital, Steve Jobs has been cast in bronze.
A Hungarian software company will unveil a bronze statue commemorating the co-founder of Apple on Dec. 21 in recognition of his leadership and vision, and appreciation for Jobs’ support of the fledgeling firm while Hungary was still under communist rule.
Graphisoft founder Gabor Bojar first met Jobs in 1984 at an information technology trade show in Germany, where the company founded behind the Iron Curtain in 1982 was presenting the first version of its ArchiCAD three-dimensional design software on Apple’s Lisa computer.

China Poses As The Biggest Smartphone Buyer Worldwide

China has overtaken the U.S. being the biggest Smartphone market of the world regarding volume in the 3rd quarter, according to a research conducted by Strategy Analytic.
The report reveals that shipments of Smartphone in China have grown 58 percent in the 3rd quarter to 24 million units after the previous quarter. In the U.S., Smartphone shipments have declined from 7% to about 23 million units.
In a statement, Tom Kang, analyst from the Strategy Analytics said the growing use of Smartphone in China can be attributed to the tremendous subsidizing by high-end model operator such as iPhone of Apple, as well as the increasing availability of low priced models operated by Android platform of Google.
