Group promotes immigration reform to save the bay, others blame farm pollution

In a new report, the Federation for American Immigration Reform is blaming the overpopulation of the Chesapeake Bay watershed, and the resulting environmental destruction, on the influx of immigrants coming into the area

Canada’s Harper Government Plays Down Oil Sands Document

Canada’s federal government disassociated itself on Thursday from an embarrassing official policy paper that said the country’s independent energy regulator, now studying a controversial oil pipeline, is in fact a government ally.

Critics have long charged the right-of-center Conservative government is trying to pressure the regulator – the National Energy Board (NEB) – to approve Enbridge Inc.’s plan to build a pipeline from the Alberta oil sands to the Pacific Coast.

The NEB this month started hearings into the $5.5-billion Northern Gateway pipeline, which the government says is needed to send more oil to Asian markets.

Market Share Of Apple’s iPhone To Outpace Android

Apple’s share of US smartphone market has been doubled to 44.9% in the fourth quarter of the last year, as revealed by a survey carried out by Kantar Worldpanel ComTech.

The company unveiled that Apple was underging a faster growth in comparison to the Android market in U.K., Australia & the U.S. based Dominic Sunnebo. On the other hand, global consumer insight director at Kantar commented on Apple’s tremendous growth: “To sum up, Apple sales are augmenting at a faster pace than that of Android across 9 countries we usually cover.”

Norah Jones teams up with Danger Mouse for ‘Little Broken Hearts’ album

Norah Jones has teamed up with super-producer Danger Mouse for the official follow-up to 2009′s The Fall. Little Broken Hearts, the singer-songwriter’s fifth full-length, will be released this spring on Blue Note/EMI, according to Hollywood Reporter.

Jones and Danger Mouse (real name: Brian Burton) recorded the album at Burton’s Los Angeles studio last fall after Jones contributed vocals to Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi’s Rome project last year. Little Broken Hearts was entirely produced by Danger Mouse and co-written by Jones and Danger Mouse, and the pair also handled the majority of the instrumentals.
